ENGLISH ANGLER DEAD

HEART SEIZURE WHILE FISHING (I'BESS ASSOCIATION TILEGRAH.) AUCKLAND, November 21. The death occurred yesterday at Taupo, of Mr Alexander D. Campbell, aged 67, an English angler who has come to New Zealand regularly for 20 years and was one of the first to exploit big game fishing in the Dominion waters. He was fly fishing in the Waikato river, and it is believed that he had a heart seizure and that his body was carried downstream. The body was recovered this morning. Shortly before 11 o'clock on Monday morning, Mr Campbell and Dr. Fenwick, of Auckland, left the camp to fish up the river, but later separated. When Dr. Fenwick returned to see how his companion was faring he could find no trace of him beyond tracks where he had waded into the river. Shortly afterwards an angler further down the stream reported that he had seen a man's hat floating in the water.
