|NO AGREEMENT REACHED INTERESTING LEGAL POINT ARISES t The adjourned Dominion dispute in the brick, tile, and pottery industry was further heard at a Conciliation Council sitting yesterday. Wages were the main point in dispute. Mr S. Ritchie, Conciliation Commissioner, presided. The proceedings were initiated by the New Zealand Federated Brick, Tile, Pottery, and Clay Workers' Association, and the employers cited were the Amalgamated Brick Comoany, Auckland, and others in Auckland, Canterbury, and Dunedin. The assessors were: —Employers: Messrs R. J. Murphy (Wellington), T. W. WoodrofTe (Christchurch,), W. D. Lambert (Dunedin), and D. I. Macdonald (Christchurch). Employees: Messrs J. Purtell (Auckland), J. Robinson (Dunedin), H. Worrall (Christchurch), and N. Smith (Christchurch)). The employers' assessors announced that it had been agreed to amend their offer of wages.
