EMPIRE AIR ROUTE
EARLY EXTENSION TO SINGAPORE LONDON, October 25. The Imperial Airways service to Rangoon will be extended to Singapore on December 9. The service, carrying passengers and mails, will take 10 days. IThc Empire air route was recently extended from Karachi to Calcutta and later to Rangoon. Tenders for the operation of the Singapore to Darwin section of the route, which will complete the England to Australia service, have been called by the Australian Government. The Dutch service from Amsterdam to Batavin, which is xeveial hundreds of miles further than Singapore, takes a maximum of ninedays.]
