HOSPITALITY IN LONDON

WELCOME FOR VISITORS FROM j DOMINIONS I L The hospitality offered to visitors j from other parts of the Empire by j Lady Frances Ryder in London was commented upon by Mi* D. W. Bain, who returned yesterday from a tour , oi England and the Continent. Mr . Bain explained that Lady Frances had t a flat in Sloane square, London, at which all visitors from the Dominions , were welcome at almost any hour oi the day or night, and where they were i given tea, tickets for concerts, ana j the principal sights in and about London, and invitations to country nouses in the orovinces. The place, which was run by tnree hostesses, was an effort to carry on the work begun by Lady Frances late husband, who during the war entertained many Dominion and colonial soldiers in London. Following His visit there, said Mr Bain, he had been invited to stay in a country house in Buckinghamshire, had been given tickets for the Albert Hall concerts and the 7.00, and had met man) friends. "You ara made to feel absolutely at „ home there," said Mr Bain. ,^ e cannot speak too highly ot their Kindness to wandering colonials." 1?
