Sortie doubt was expressed by a reader of "The Press" as to the advisability of salting asparagus beds at the rate of 41b to the square yard, as advocated by Mr J. T. Sinclair, who compiles the "Garden Notes" for "The Press." Mr Sinclair, on the point being referred to him, said that that amount was necessary only when the bed was twitchy.
