INDIAN BATHERS DROWNED
(Received October 3, 6.4 p.m.) | CALCUTTA, October 3. Swept into a whirlpool by a strong current at the foot of the famous Curtallum waterfalls in South India, 13 of the party of 31 religsous bathers were drowned. The waterfall was reinforced by millions of tons of water, due to abnormal rains. The bathers entered the pool in spite of a warning.
