COMMUNICATIONS CUT (Received October 3, 8.41 p.m.) KINGSTON (Jamaica), October 2. A tropical hurricane moving at about 50 miles an hour swept over the western end of Jamaica to-day, paralysing communication facilities and leaving the remainder of the colony in a state of anxiety as to the extent of the damage.
