NAPIER ACCIDENT CASE (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, September 14. The jury's verdict in favour of Richard Park, plaintiff in an action against Joseph Louis Richard, heard recently iri the Supreme Court, was set; aside to-day by Mr Justice Blair, and judgment. entered for defendant. Plaintiff was knocked down by defendant's car at Napier in July last year, and the jury awarded him .£264 7s special and £OOO general damages. After traversing the whole of the circumstances in relation to the jury's findings, his Honour said in his opinion it could not be said that the defendant was any more an effective cause of the accident than was the plaintiff.
