SHIPPING NOTES.
The Gale is to arrive here this morning from Timaru to load for Wellington and Wanganui. The Foxton is due here to-day "rom Foxton, with cattle, and is to Bail this, afternoon on the return trip. The Opihi is to load here to-day for Nelson and New Plymouth. She sails via Wellington. The Port Waikato, due here this morning from Timaru, will take in cargo for Auckland, Tauranga, and Wnangarei. The Ashburton is to arrive at Lyttelton to-morrow from Wellington to discharge cargo from New York. She is to sail to-mprrow for Dunedin and Australia. The Walpiata is an expected arrival at Lyttelton to-day from Auckland and Wellington. She is to sail this afternoon for Bluff, Dunedin, Oamaru, and Timaru, and is due back at Lyttelton on Tuesday next to load for Wellington and Auckland. The Holmglen left Lyttelton yesterday for Dunedin and Timaru. She is due back on Friday, when she will load for Wellington, Wanganu-, I.ew Plymouth, and Waikato. The Calm is to load at Lyttelton tomorrow for Bluff. Dunedin, Oamaru, and Timaru. The Poolta is expected at Lyttelton to-morrow from Timaru. After loading for Napier and .Gisbome, she will sail for Wellington. The Taupata arrived here yesterday afternoon from Wellington, and is to sail to-day for Nelson, Mapua, and Motueka. . The Wingatiti, which arrived here yesterday from Timaru, is to .sail today for Wellington and Auckland.
