FOR CHARITY.

♦ JOHN COURT MEMORIAL FUND. (TRESS ASSOCIATION TILEtjH.AU.) AUCKLAND, July 24. Probate lias been granted of the will of Mr John Court, who died on July C. The estate is valued at less than £ 60,000. The disposal of the estate, apart from a few minor provisions, is left entirely in the hands of the trustees, and no additional public gifts are expressly provided for. It is now revealed, however, that in September, 1926, Mr Court set aside £SOOO to be administered for charitable purposes within the city of Auckland, and created a trust to administer it. During the donor s lifetime the income of this fund was spent on charitable purposes year by year by the trustees under his direction. The trustees now have full power to pay and apply the trust fund and income arising therefrom to such charitable purposes in the city of Auckland as they shall think fit. The fund is to be known as the John Court memorial fund.
