MALVERN ASSOCIATION. Tim five-a-side tournament organised by tho Malvern Hockey Association was held at Kirwce on Saturday. Nine teams competed, and good hockey was Keen by a good crowd of spectators. Tho ground was very heavy and tho weather cold and showery. Tho tournament resulted an follows: First round—Sheffield A 2, Hororata A 1; Kirwen A 3, Greendale A 0; Darfield A 1, Kirwco II 0; Sheffield 13 1, Darticid B 0; Gnendalo B a bye. Second round Uarfield A 4, Greendale B O; Sheffield A 2, Kirwce A 0; Sheffield B a byo. Semi-final—Darfleld A 3, Sheffield B 1; Sheffield A a 'bye. Final—Darfield A 2, Sheffield A 0. The winning team was B. Rutledge (captain), It. Edbrooke, T. E. llcnnessy, Kay and G. C. Warren, and tho runneraup (.Sheffield A) were L. Ilawke (captain), K. Rogers, F. Polker, lv. Greydon, and L. Jones. The Malvorn A and B teams selected to meet Sydenham juniors A and Karewood third grade, respectively, on Saturday next, at tho Darfleld Domain at 2.45 p.m. are as follows:—Malvern A: B.
