CONVERSION OF AMERICAN WAR LOAN.
HOUSE OF COMMONS APPROVES
(BRiTISB OFFICIAL WIRfXESS. > RUGBY, July 21. On the proposal of the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Mr Neville Chamberlain, the House of Commons to-day passed, by 131 votes to 22, a Government resolution approving of the conversion offer to holders of 5i per cent, gold bonds due in 1937 under the terms of the war loan of 250,000,000 dollars raised in 1917 by the British Government in the United States. -
