CYCLING.

TECHNICAL COLLEGE CLUB.

•The Christchurch Technical College Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club held a 30 miles road race on an. out-ind-home course through Halswell, Holiest on, and Prebblcton on Saturday. The officials of the club were asifted by members of the Canterbury Amateur Cycling Centre. a good field faced the starter. The icntch men, G. R. Giles and W. A. Qiriltensen, conceded a start of seven and a half minutes to the limit men. Hw - roads were in a bad state tad the conditions very unpleasant, lor the riders. Over the first part of the nee the limit men made fast time. Owr the last part L. H. Green, off the limit, and H. Smith, seven and a quarto minutes, cleared away from their cwnarkers. Green, riding alone after 1 Smith punctured six miles from home, finished two minutes ahead ox the next man. The scratch men made good time, taking short laps for most of the journey, Giles gaining third (lice and fastest time and Christensen fourth place and second fastest time. Thiplacings were.— .
