FIFTY YEARS ' WORK.

A PROGRESSIVE POLICY. The chairman of the association, Dr. J. Restell Thomas, makes the following announcement: — To all residents of Canterbury: Our message to you on this occasion is to keep on supporting St. John. We have carried on our services to the public of this district for close upon 50 years, and we havt; always been ready to help. We must have your help and co-operation to finance these services which, though free to sufferers, require funds continuously to maintain them. Housed now under one roof, we feel capable of reaching the standard of efficiency that this district has a right to command and of proving ourselves worthy to belong to the finest life brigade in the world. An art union has enabled us to produce a headquarters second to none in New Zealand, but it has been quite inadequate to provide fund? to maintain our services. Remember always that any subscription given by you is to help you. We are only your trustees, and it is the privilege of the public to support us. I beseech all to take a personal interest in our work and join our classes so that, you may become proficient in first aid.
