MORTGAGORS' RELIEF.
EXTENSION OF POWERS OF COURT PROPOSED. (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEOBiIt.I WELLINGTON, July 11. Puring the heaving of cases brought under the Mortgagors Relief Act, 1931, and its amendments, comment has been made by judges regarding the difficulty of doing justice between stock mortgagees and land mortgagees, and the suggestion has been made that the legislation Bhould be amended in order to give the court power to bind stock mortgagees by an order for what is known as pooling arrangements. II is understood that the Government will give consideration to the question of extending the court's powers and legislation will probably be introduced next session.
