Full to the hatch tops with paper, the Danish motor-ship Lundby arrived at Auckland last night, and commenced her discharge this morning. The vessel's unusual cargo—it is only the second all-paper shipment to be brought to the port—was loaded at Liverpool, Nova Scotia. Twelve hundred tons will be put out at Auckland, and the remainder at Wellington and Lyttelton. The ship is carrying newsprint for the newspapers of New Zealand. She was loaded by the Mersey Paper Company of Nova Scotia. The Lundby is due at Wellington on Saturday and at Lyttelton about Wednesday next. On completion of discharge at Dunedin the Lundby will i proceed to Sydney to load wheat for j the United Kingdom or the Continent, j FINE-WEATHER TRIP. TEES RETURNS FROM THE C HATHA MS. After a fine-weather trip since she left Lyttelton on July 4, the steamci Tees arrived back at Lyttelton last evening, making one of her smartest passages from the islands. The vessel landed passengers, mails, stores, and material for the new wharf at Waitangi, and also called-at Pitt Island and Owenga. The Tees brought the following passengers:—Misses E. Wilson, B. McGregor, Mrs Wilson and three children, Mrs Merriman and three children, Mrs D. Ashley and infant, Mrs Uses and child, Messrs B. V. Rope. Martinovitch, S. Pomare. C. Price, S. Smylie, F. Jeeves and Nola. FISHING AT CHATHAM ISLANDS. TRAWLER SECURING GOOD CATCH. When the steamer Tees left the Chatham Islands on Sunday last, it was reported that the trawler South Sea was already half-full of fish after only a week's fishing. The South Sea left Lyttelton on June 29, and if the present rate of fishing is maintained, she should arrive at Wellington towards the end of next week. The Shaw, Savill, and Albion Co.'s liner Akaroa is now to arrive at Lyttelton to-day from Port Chalmers, a day earlier than previously expected. She will load here, and is expected to sail to-morrow for Gisborne and Wellington. The Akaroa is to leave Wellington at daybreak on July 26 for Southampton and London, via Panama. RANGITIKI DUE SUNDAY. The New Zealand Shipping Company's motor-liner Rangitiki is now timed to leave Wellington on Sunday morning for Lyttelton, and is due here late on Sunday afternoon. She is to commence loading here on Monday i morning. MATAKAWA LIGHT OUT. The Marine Department advises that the Malakav/a light is reported to be out. and will be relighted about the end of this week.
