REPORT FOR JUNE.
The report of the Canterbury Dvns-\ > ion of the Royal Naval Volunteer Be- A serve for last month states that there -,•* were 44 men on "A" subdivision, 33 on "B" subdivision of List on List 2 (unattached) there were W a and 29 respectively. "A" subdivWoa ; ,| carried out four drills; the attendance of officers was ■even, of men 34; "B" subdivision carried out j five drills; the average.attendanceoi ,$ officers was six, and of men 31. From -,J< "A" subdivision 16 men, and "B" subdivision 27 men were trans ~-* ferred to List 2. >Mn ,JI Promotions: Two ordinary seameßa, 5 4 were promoted to ordinary signalmen, one able seaman was promotea *£.;,| qualified signalman; and two seamen to able seamen. ~8 « n«i; » 'i Training: The miniature rifle shoot was carried £»&<>.■& on June 6, the winners being fIJM subdivision of Otago.
