YESTERDAY'S TRANSACTIONS. Markets were quieter on call yesterday, and dealings were restricted. Transactions, exclusive of vestibule business, were:— 20 Bank of Australasia. 25 E., S„ and A. Bank. 40 Union Bank of Aust. 100 Gear Meat. 100 N.Z. Refrigerating (£1 paici). 300 N.Z. Refrigerating (10s paid). 100 Christchurch Gas (10s paid). 5 Colonial Sugar. 100 Dunlop Rubber. 100 Henry Jones Co-op. 100 Milburn Lime. 100 Mount Lyell. 150 Wilson's Cement. 100 A Grander (13s 6d paid). 500 Big River. 50 Blackwater. 200 Freshford. 500 Gillespie's Beach <9d paid). 800 Lawson's Flat (Is paid). 3CO Okarito. Bank of Australasia shares changed hands at £ll 7s 6d. E„ S„ and A. Bank were firm at £5, and there were further sellers at £4 19s 6d, buyers at £4 16s. Union Bank of Australia eased to £8 7s, buyers staying in at that figure, sellers at £8 Bs. Sellers of Dalgety and Company shares reduced their limits to £8 17s 6d, buyers at £8 10s. Gear Meats moved up to 32s (id, and late offers at that price failed to attract sellers. New Zealand Refrigerating fully-paid recovered to 15s. market closing 15s buyers, 15s 2d sellers; the 10s paid shares were firm with sellers and business at 6s Id, buyers at 6s. Buyers of Grey Valley Collieries raised their bids to 14s, sellers at 17s. Christchurch Gas 10s paid shares recovered to 13s, i and more were wanted at that price, sellers at 13s 3d. Colonial Sugars were easier with business at £57 ss, and further sellers at £57, buyers at £56 10s. Dunlop Rubbers realised 18s 3d, closing quotes Id on either side.
