DISABLED SOLDIERS.
• RE-ESTABLISHMENT COMMITTEEj MEETS. A meeting of the Canterbury Disabled Soldiers' Civil Re-establishment Committee was held yesterday morning. There were present Mr H. Holland, M.P. (chairman). Dr. T. Fletcher Telford, Messrs C. J. Ronaldson, F. M. Robson, J. Murphy, and W. E. Leadley (secretary). Mr Leadley reported that the subcommittee set up by the Christchurch Returned Soldiers' Association to try to effect a reconciliation between the Canterbury Rabbit Breeders' Association and the recently-formed; Returned Soldiers' Rabbit Breeders' Association, an organisation not recognised by the Christchurch Returned Soldiers' Association, had conferred with the two bodies, but so far had not been successful in its endeavours, and the conference had been adjourned to tonight. It was decided to make a loan of £F, to one of the three original returned soldiers who were trained by the Canterbury Rabbit Breeders' Association and given a start in the industry. Mr Leadley said that the man had started with six rabbits and now had 40. Mr Leadley had visited the farms of two of these men recently, and was pleased to be able to report that they had effected wonderful improvements to the properties. "They are doing very well, but this man is short of the money necessary to buy seed for planting," said Mr Leadley. Mr Holland reported that members of the War Pensions Board had visited the factory of Disabled Soldiers' Hananc' expressed pleasure at the provision made for the disabled soldiers. "They seemed very pleased with all they saw, and congratulated the organisation on the kind ltS work '" said Mr Ho 1"
