One result of the steady increase of motor traffic on country roads has been the mortality among rabbits, large numbers of which come to an umimely end beneath the speeding wheels after dark. In the past they were left lying to make a meal for hawks but with the marked increase in the price of skins motorists are flow stopping to pick up the victims. The price of damaged skins is now about 4d each.
