JUDGMENT FOR PLAINTIFF. (PXBS3 ASSOCIATION SKLEOBAX.) WESTPORT, June 13. The Supreme Court was occupied for the greater part of two days with the hearing of a claim by Janet Macneil, of Millerton, . against, the New Zealand Commercial .Assurance Company to recover £350 on a house and £l5O on furniture destroyed by fire i on November 14, 1932. At the conclusion of the hearr ing his Honour Mr Justice pair commented strongly on the action of the defendants in alleging arson and not attempting to support it with evidence. He said there were good claims, against insurance companies and bad claims, and this was one of the good ones. Judgment was given for the plaintiff for the full amount claimed, with costs.
