OPEN AMATEUR TOURNAMENT.

At a meeting of the match committee- of the Christchurch Sports Club last evening, Mr C. H. Taylor, jun., presiding, the. following matchings were decided upon for the van " ous contests to be staged at the Caledonian Hall this evening, with the order of the contests: Fly-weight: J. Davey, Welter-weight. N. Eerr v. A. Kirner. Fly-weight: F. O'Connor v. W. Guthrie. Featherweight: N. Fisher v. A. G. Hawes. Welter-weight: E. Fail v. G. Tyro. Middle-weight: H. Emmerson v. S. Brandt Light-weight: R. Scott v. E. ; As' the entries received from Oamaru, Timaru, Ashburton, Lytteiton. and all the local clubs number of provincial champions, the boxing should be of a very high standard
