THE NEVIS DEISEL ELECTRIC GOLD DREDGING COY.
(To be Incorporated.) Probably the least known of all New Zealand's rich goldfields is the I picturesque Nevis Valley, lying at a high altitude between Cromwell and Garston, in Otago Central. Completely mountain walled witn the famous Remarkables as a fitting background, and extremely isolated even in these days of motor transport, "The Nevis" did not receive the attention of the pioneer miner to the same extent as other rich auriferous areas in Otago. The virgin floor of the Upper Valley has been left intact for the present generation, and in the near future a powerful Deisel electric dredge will endeavour to recover the hitherto undisturbed riches. For some time past Investigations, Ltd., an enterprising. Dunedin mining company, has been testing the glacial alluvials with a modern power-driven boring plant, and splendid results have been obtained, more than justifying the heavy outlay of capital involved. Boring operations have been supervised by Mr W. W. Begg, A.O.S.M, M.C.I.M.M. A prospectus for the Nevis Deisel Electric Gold Dredging Coy, will be issued at an early date, but in view of the heavy reservations already in the hands of the brokers, intending investors are strongly advised to establish contact with the local organisers, or write for particulars to the organisers, PROVIDENT INVESTMENTS, LTD., 145-7 Worcester street, Christchurch. —1
