New Zealand Breweries, cum dividend of 3£ per cent., making 7 per cent, for the year, advanced to 29s and 29s 6d, market closing 29s 3d buyers, 30s sellers. Electrolytic Zinc ordinary shares were fractionally firmer at 18s 2d and 18s 3d, and there were further buyers at 18s 2d, sellers at 18s 4d—the preference rose to 31s Bd, and more were offered at that price, buyers at 31s 6d. Mount Lyells were firmer, with dealings and further buyers at 20s 9d, sellers at 21s. Alexander Mines partly paid moved up to 10s 3d and closed firm.
