I A record attendance of 150 present ai the dinner of the reorganised K'lig Edward's Horse Old Comraues' Association in London j included many Australians, New | Zealanders, and Canadians. Colonel Lionel James. C.8.E., D.5.0., pre- ! sided. ! It was reported that six sons of former members had been provided with scholarships at the Imperial Service College. [Colonel Lionel James was Reuter's special correspondent in the Chitral campaign, 1894-95; Mohmund, Malakand, and Tirah campaign, 1897-98; Sudan, 1898; on staff of "The Times." 1899; "The Times" special correspondent in South Africa, 1899-1901; America and Macedonia, 1903; Manchuria, 1904; India. 1907; North West Frontier, India, 1908; Persia and Turkey, 1908; Balkans, 1909; with the Spanish Army in Morocco, 1909; with the Turkish Army in Albania, 1910; with the French on the march to Fez, 1911; with the Italians in Tripoli, 1911; with the Turks in Thrace, 1912; with the Bulgarians in Thrace, 1913; retired from journalism and the staff of "The Times," 1913; commanded King Edward's Horse with the 8.E.F., in France and Italy, 1915-18 (dispatches twice. Crown of Italy). He has published a number of books, including The History of King Edward's Horse.]
