*u A for Nazi attacks on the trade union movement and preparations for war, the Canterbury Trades and Labour Council, at its meeting on Saturday night, discussed a proposal to boycott German goods. The secretary was instructed to communicate with the National Executive of the Trades and Labour Federation, urging it to get in touch with the Trade Union Congress in England and trades councils in Australia and New Zealand with the object of placing a boycott on German goods.
