WAR IN CHINA.
| JAPANESE NEAR PEKING. i TOKYO, May 18. The Japanese forces to-day occupied Iyun, only 35 miles by road from Peking. The war authorities believe the object of the drive in North China is practically attained, and it will be unnecessary to proceed further.
