Pearls of great beauty, and diamonds, cut and uncut, valued at £12,000, disappeared from the pocket of Mr Harold Klean, of Hatton Garden, when he was in Manchester recently, and are still missing. A description of them vx»s circulated to all the police and pawnbrokers in the country. The police have yet to solve the mystery whether the jewels were lost or stolen. Mr Klean is convinced that his pocket was picked. He left a shop in St. Ann street at 3.45, after putting the jewels, which were in,, a wallet, in the inside breast pocket of his coat. Twenty-five minutes later, on Victoria Station, he discovered the wallet was missing.
