The season was brought to a close on Saturday, when a rink competition was held. Several members of the Returned Soldiers' Association Club attended. Rinks skipped by E. W. Taylor and T. M. Clark tied, the formed winning the play-off. The green played well, and members expressed some regret at having to curtail what has been a most successful season. E. A. Hatch has the honour this season of preventing the Elmwood Smiths from "scooping the pool." He won all his matches in the handicap singles, beating J. R. Smith in the final by 19 points to 14. Three rinks from Elmwood will go to the country on Easter Monday, playing Rangiora in the morning and Oxford in the afternoon. Six women croquet players will accompany the party for a day on the Rangiora greens.
