GOLF.
HAGLEY CLUB. The opening day. match will take place at Hagley on Saturday, when a mixed foursome bogey handicap will be played. Players will arrange own partners and opponents and starting j times.: _ ; 5 ELLESMERE CLUB. At a meeting of the women's section of the Ellesmere Golf Club, Mrs E. W. Hunt presiding, Miss I. Scott was elected captain, Mrs A. J. W. Young vice-captain,. and Mrs E. C. Vayghan secretary. Those elected to the 1 commjttee were: The captain, vice-captain* secretary, and Mesdames G. W. K. Osborne, S. Bongard, W. A. Johnston. R. G. Power, and H. Neave. Mesdames Mcllraith and Osborne were elected handicappers. It was agreed that there'should be a senior and junior draw on one Saturday, followed by a combined draw, the next week; and that this,arrangement should continue during the season. Suitable arrangements were made for providing afternoon tea during the season.
