BRITISH COMPANY'S LARGE PROFIT. (V»IT*D meSS »380CIATIOH —BT IMCTBIO (ELEOSt/irn—COPYEIOHT ) LONDON, March 15. Imperial Chemical Industries, Limited, is restoring the 1931 wage-cut to 25,000 employees. The action involves £IBO,OOO a year. Sir Harry McGowan, chairman and president of the company, states that, though the world situation is unsatisfactory, the company desires to recogniso the workers' helpful co-opera-tion. The year's profit was £6,415,000, as compared with £4,688,000, the previous year.
