YESTERDAY'S TRANSACTIONS. There was an increased turnover on cpII yesterday, due to heavier dealings in Government stocks. New Zealand Government 4$ per ennt stock due 1938 changed hands at £9O 17s fid. £97, and £96 15s, market closing £96 10« buyers. £97 sellers: the bonds due 1938 were easier at £9O 15s. Five and a half per cent, stock duo 1936 changed hands at £9B and £9B 10s. closing quotations £97 10s buyers. £99 sellers Five and a half per cent, stock due February 1937 eased i,o £9B 10s, sellers staying in at that price, buyers at £97 ss. Buyers of 51 1901 . stock raised their bids to par without attracting sellers. Commercial Bank of .Sydney shares declined to £ls. market closing £l4 17s Gd buvers, £ls 4s sellers. Buyers of Hank of Australasia shares (cum dividend) advanced their offers to £9 10s without attracting sellers. Bank of New Zealand shares were fractionally (inner at 43s 5d and 43s 4d, buyers slayiu" in at the lower figure, sellers al, "43s 7d. Miscellaneous. buyers of South British Insurance shares raised their bids to 61s 6d, but fellers wanted G2s 3d. Jluddart-Par-kers realised 28s Gd and moro were wanted at that price, no sellers. Sellers of Gear meats came down to 26s 6d. buyers at 22s 6d. Grey Valley Collieries were firmer on buyers' offers 10s, sellers at lis 6d. New Zealand Breweries cased to 27s 4d ami more were offered at 27s sd, buyers at 27s 2d. British Tobaccos (cum dividend) had dealings at 33s Id and 33s and there were further sellers at 33s Id, buyers at 32s lid. Colonial Sugars relapsed to £53 17s 6d, market closing £53 10s buyers. £sl sellers. Electrolytic Zinc ordinary shares were placed at 15s 9d. Mount Lyells were firm at 19s 6d, market closing Id on either side. New Zealand Drugs were firmer on buyers' offers. Gls 6d. Lawson's Flat Gold (9d paid) realised 10Id and more were offered at that r.rice. buyers at lOd. Freshford Gold Dredging changed hands at Is 6d and Is s£<l, sellers staying in at the lower figure, buyers at Is sd. Sellers of Nokomais reduced their limits to 6s, buyers at 5s lOd. Unlisted Stocks. Bell Hooper Cromwell Gold, Limited (Gd paid) remained unaltered at 7jd. One hundred pounds' worth of Investment Executive Trust "B" debentures changed hands at £lO5. market closing £9O buyers, £llO sellers.
