TRIBUTE TO SIR JOHN SIMON. (BBITI9H OrjrlCIAL WISBLJSN) RUGBY, March 14. When the Wcsterplatte agreement came before the League Council tributes were paid to Sir John Simon (British Foreign Secretary) for his capable handling of the dispute. Dr. Sim, president of the Danzig Senate, five an assurance that he could guarantee tho safety of Polish interests at Westerplatte, and the Polish Minister, M Joseph Beck, gave an assurance of the speedy withdrawal of the Pohsh U Si? John Simon said the incident could be regarded as closed.
