SPREYDON BURGESSES' ASSOCIATION.
The monthly meeting <>i' the Sproyf'.on Burgesses' Association was held on Tuesday evening, Mr J. Skclton presiding over a good attendance of members. A motion of condolence was passed with Mr F. R. Cotton in his recent bereavement. It, was decided to send si letter to the Municipal Electricity Department asking that tho sub-station in Barrington street be removed to the section already r.cquired for the purpose. A keen discussion took place on the destination signs displayed on the Sprcydon trams, which it was claimed caused confusion to visitors, and a deputation, consisting of Messrs J. Skelton, J. S. Bnrnett, and A. T. Smith, was appointed to interview the • tramwax authorities to discuss suitable alterations. Tt was decided to leave the question of the erection of a tram shelter at the new terminus loop in the hands of tho secretary. The tar sealing of Domain terrace was urged, and it was decided to refer the matt-'s- to Councillor Barnett.
