COMMITTED FOR SENTENCE.
TiIKSS ASSOCIATION TEI.F.GRAM.I AVKLLINGTON. March 15. Harold Alexander Browne, aped 17. was committed for sentence for breaking and entering the Paramount lounge and tearooms on Saturday and stealing sweets, cigarettes, and" other goods to the value of £3 Is lid; lor attempting to cuter the same premises with intent to commit theft and stealing a brace and bit valued at -la. From statements made during tho hearing, it appeared-that an attempt by the accused to enter tho premises lour days previously was unsuccessful, and that ho afterwards stole a brace and bit to effect an entry.
"The accused explained his possession of - the goods after the crime by saying that he had a job canvassing with sweets.
