♦ ' CONDITIONS OF RECIPROCAL TRADE. (BRITISH OFFICIAL WIRELESS.) RUGBY, February 23. Asked in the Houc of Commons if he would be prepared to negotiate with tho Irish Free State Government with a view to exempting the equivalent in Irish produco from the special duties in return for the withdrawal of the Irish duty on British coal, Mr J. H. Thomas Secretary of State for the Dominions) said any attempt to reach a, partial settlement of the Anglo-Irish dispute on the suggested lines was not likely to be useful. At the same time, as he had frequently explained, the _United Kingdom Government remained desirous a friendly settlement with the Irish Free State, 'provided that negotintionH proceeded on the basis that the validity of existing obligations be accepted. ,
