LECTURES IN MUSICAL APPRECIATION.

A course of 2G lectures in musical appreciation will be given at Canterbury University College by Dr. Bradshaw on Tuesday, from 7 to 9 p.m., commencing on March 7. The course, though primarily designed for students, is also suitable for amateur listeners, and should make a strong appeal to all music lovers. The lectures will be copiously illustrated by vocal and instrumental compositions of every period from tho sixteenth century to the music of the present day. Many great masterpieces of music never performed in this country will bo heard and discussed. The latest improvements in gramophone music and a collection of records will bo freely used for this purpose. Full particulars of the lectures can bo obtained at the College office, Montreal street.
