ARRESTED FIVE TIMES.
LIVELY EXPERIENCES IN EUROPE. YOUNG NEW ZEALANDERS ON TOUR. (VTSItBD FSt&SB ASSOCIATIOK—SI- EW6CTIUC TELBGEArH— COPIBIGHT.) (Received February 23, 7 p.m.) LONDON, February 22. Two- journalists, Mr Eichards and a Now Zealander, Mr C. W. Lusty, had lively experiences while on a motorcycle tour abroad. They were twice arrested iu Spain as suspected Communists during tho Catalonian rising. They were also twice arrested in Algiers on suspicion of being deserters from the French Foreign Logion, and a third time for travelling without passports. They were finally captured by Arab bandits in the Atlas mountains, but were released when it was found that they were without money. [Mr C. W. Lusty was formerly on the staff of tho "New Zealand Herald,'' Auckland. Ho is a son of Mr W. D. Lusty, of the staff of the same newspaper. It is probablo that the Mr Richards referred to is Mr C. Richards, a son of tho Rev. Morgan Richards, Presbyterian minister at Takapuna. Auckland. Ho was formerly on the staff of the Auckland "Sun" and later on that of the Eotorua "Chronicle." Ho left New Zealand for England last April. Both aro young men.]
