On Wednesday, in the final of the B division for the Silver Button, Miss Hambleton (Creymouth) defeated Mrs Osborne (Reefton), 26-23, 26-18. Results: — CHAMPIONSHIP SINGLES. First Life. Mrs Mercer (Grey) beat Mrs Tcplu? (Grey), 26-16. Mrs Gillespie (Wcstport) beat Mrs Whiblcy (Grey), 26-22. Mrs Tennent (Grey) beat Mrs Robertson (Grey), 26-16. Seeond Life. Miss Hambleton (Grey) beat Mrs Tennent (Grey), 26-14. Mrs Mercer (Grey) beat Mrs McCracken (Kunanga), 26-10. HANDICAP SINGLES. Mrs Mercer (Grey), five bisques, beat Mrs Albonn (Reefton), 10 bisques, 26-15. HANDICAP DOUBLES. Mrs Allan Smith and Mrs Reynolds (Grey? six bisques, beat Mrs Keams and Mrs Alborn (Beefton), 10 bisques, 26-13. Mrs Orsbourn and Mrs Wicken (Reefion), six bisques, beat Mrs McKay and Mrs Topliss CGrey), five bisques, 26-*. The putting competition was won by Mrs Fogarty.
