ANNUAL CONFERENCE. (V&S10 ASBOCUTIOH TKLEOBAM) NAPIER, February 23. The annual conference of the -New Zealand Society of Accountants opened this evening following a dinner given in honour of the delegates by the Mawke's Bay Branch. The election of oflicerß resulted: — Council, Messrs It. Davis (Palmerston North), P. B. Foot© (Timaru), J. L. Griffin (Wellington), JE. J. Marrey (Blenheim), S. K. Lambert (Wellington), and H. C. llobinson (Auckland); auditor, Mr E. W. A. Kellow (Wellington). The remaining officers are to be elected by the council to-iporrow. It was announced that the competition for a thesis on the _ accounts, finance, costing, and statistics of the dairy industry had been won by G. A. Duncan, of Hawcra, who will be awarded a gold medal.
