Roosevelt (President-elect) announced after his talk with Sir Ronald Lindsay (British Ambassador) on Monday that "the broader aspects of the world economic and other situations" had been discussed. He said the conversation would be resumed at an early date, as soon as his choice of a Secretary of State was announced. He would then ask that Minister and Sir Ronald Lindsay to work on the problems involved; The statement said: "The British Ambassador has given Mr Roosevolt iinolficiallv the views of the British Government, touching the broader aspects of the world economic problem and other situations. Conversations between them wore confined to the general aspect of the problems. No specific proposals relating to the World Economic Conference or inter-govern-mental debts were discussed. The resumption of the conversation will take plnce at an early date. Mr. Roosevelt will ask his new Secretary of State, when tho choice is announced, to confer unofficially on the same subjects." The conference lasted two hours. When he left Mr Roosevelt's home, Sir Ronald Lindsay said that he concurred in the statement issued by Mr Roosevelt.
