The New Zealand Band Contest was continued to-day in the Town Hall, three solos and tho trombone trios being decided during the day and the first B grade test selection in the evening. The judge said that New Zealand bandsmen did not appear to make a study of tho baritone, lor the playing in this event was the poorest he had ever heard. Had it not been for tho standard reached by Winslade ho would not have been prepared to mate a first award.
