Lord Baden-Powell, the Chief Scout,, has awarded- the Boy Scouts'"■ Silver Cross' for gallantry with considerable risk to F. Daniels, a- Boy Scout of the Ist Clapham and Patching Group, 'Sussex.' Daniels, who is .154 years of age, was working on a farm where Mr N. M. Barron was exercising ,a : Guernsey bull. The bull turned on, and knocked cTown Mr *Barron, and after dragging him some distance along the ground, tried to gore him. Daniels rushed up and boat off the bull with the blunt end of a pitchfork, and held it oft" until tho rest of the employees near could come up and secure it.
