The mAiagement of English Park Stadium' Ims spared no effort to make to-night's programma as interesting as possible, several; special features haying been introduced. Tho programme comprises handicap and' scratch cycling, motor-paced racing, a motorcar race, a motor-cycle race, and'running events. The programme should appeal to *ll sections of the sporting public.... Tho motor-paccdl race has- attracted six entries, necessitates two heats o I three riders, with three to qualify for the stand final. Last week's motor-paced race was one of the most thrilling ever staged at the, park. The .riders are handicapped and the race promises to lje a real thriller.The big challenge motor-car race -between Cyril Hay ward and H. Christie is n great deal of attention in motoring circles. These two prominent motorists have splendid records as racing drivers, and the Wolseley Hornet cars are expected to develop a great speed on the banked track. The motor-cycle handicap race will be contested by eight riders. These riders are experts at handling, their machines on the track and the thrills • of previous' races will be more in evidence than ever. G. Urry, who has 'a splendid record of wins to his credit, will have to go full bore to win, as he is conceding big starts to his opponents. Len Hill, the Dominion's most versatile cyclist, has to beat a big field in the five mileß scratch race. His most serious opponents • are L. Pither. W. Guy, and Ron and Bill Weir. A full programme of cycling and running will be presented, the fields including the best performers in Canterbury. The sports commence at 8 o'clock. HANDICAPS DECLARED.
