IffldcUff* WCDic. , There was a good attendance at a meeting of Jlcdeliffs residents held in the Community Hall on Thursday evening when ways and means of raising money for the picnic and grounds improvement funds were discussed. It was decided \o bold a children's fancy dress party en February 18 from G to 8 p.m. to bo followed by a danee for adult*. The date of the picnic wis fixed for February 2-j, at Rcdeliff*. It is intended to draw up a programme of novel events. Athletic*. The .Sumner Club increased its lead in the B grade relay competition by eight points in winning the B grade relay on Tuesday evening. D. W. Bishop ran a great quarter-mile, making up a dc-iieicijc-y of about 15 yards and giving the next Sumner man a clear lead. The sprinters had no difficulty in holding on to this advantage and the race wai won easily, j The distances to be covered in next Tuesday's relay should suit the members or tho team admirably, who are as follows:—140 vards, D.
