MR FORBES QUESTIONED. (PiIESS A3SOCUIIQX TBUSaAAU.) WELLINGTON, Januai-y li'. Questioned concerning persistent reports that the Government, in order to assist the primary producer, was considering the advisability of increasing the exchange rate, the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes, declined to discuss the Cabinet's deliberations. He stated that the country would be advised in duo course of the details of the policy'being framed. Ho was not prepared to make an advance statement.
