INTERPROVINCIAL CONTEST. A prouramihe of special interest is to be presented at Monica Park Speedway on Saturday night, when an interprovinrial contest will be staged between teams representing Canterbury and Wellington. The teams will be very strong and evenly matched, and will be captained by Wally Kilmiater (Wellington) and Charlie Blacklook (Canterbury). This team racing of four aside is the chief attraction of broadsiding in England, where it has been highly developed. The local riders and the Wellington men will have the benefit of tho vast experience of their captains in this true of racing. Teams racing is exceptionally thrilling for the very reason that tho races are run by four riders from a rolling start. The keen competitive spirit enters into the thing, and the result is that a high standard of raping is procured, frothing can equal tho sight of four fast riders going into a flying slide together, nor the skill of the riders in working themselves into winning positions when travelling" at full speed. . ~ c An additional attraction will bo the first of the series of races for the Chevrolet Gold Helmet. This week's race will be between Wallv Thomas and Norm Gray. Both riders have demonstrated . that they have any amount of ability and speed. Both have done very creditable time on the track this reason, and both have the very latest in machines. Wallv Kilmister is to make the first attempt on tho track record this' season, and it is confidently expected that he will succeed.
