Mr Bert Hinklcr has completed i"s plans for his flight to Port Darwin. I '.BBL'IISH OFFICIAL WISELESS.) RUGBY, December 16. Victor Smith met with a serious mishup near Saint Malo to-day. When ho was at a low altitude his engine failed and 4ie jumped from the machine with a parachute. He landed safely, but the aeroplane was badly damaged. [Victor Smith, the 19-year-old South African, who recently flew solo from the Cape to England, left on Wednesday on tho return trip, but landed at St. Malo because of head wind. He intended to return to Croydon to begin again.] ■ j
