TRAP-SHOOTING.
ELLESMERE CLUB. I Ideal weather favoured the Ellesmere Gun 1 Club's Christmas shoot, held at Leeston on Saturday afternoon. About 40 competitors took part, including representatives of the Springston, Christcliurch, North Canterbury, and Methven Clubs. Hammond won th> special prize tor best aggregate, and F. L. Graham, with 26 out of a possible of 27, took the trophy for best first barrel performance. A lamb weight-guessing competition was won by Mr J. T. Parkin, and another cornpetition by E. A. Ellis.
