SPECIAL BROADCAST.
GOODWILL MESSAGES FROM AMERICA. (1-425* ASSOCIATION TILtUBAM > WELLINGTON, December 15. Mr L. T>. Wilson, president of the WCKY radio station, Covington, Kentucky, United States, has cabled the Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes) as follows: "In response to requests from thousand? of listeners in Now Zealand, WCKY will give a special three hour goodwill broadcasting, starting on Saturday at midnight on December 17th. eastern standard time. The broadcast will bring to New Zealand messages from President Hoover, the President-elect. Mr Franklin Roosevelt, the British Ambassador, and others. America's most famous orchestras will broadcast. Our frequency is 1490 kilocycles." Mr Forbes has cabled to Mr Wilson the following reply: 'The people of New Zealand send cordial greetings to the people of the United States, and with them sincerely trust that 1933 will bring a substantial improvement in the present world-witt" oconomic conditions. We greatly appreciate the action of WCKY in arranging a goodwill broadcast."
